Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner Join ‘The Tonight Show’ as Guest Announcers

UPDATE: Here’s video of DeSorbo and Berner making their Tonight Show announcing debut Tuesday night.

Giggly Squad is headed back to The Tonight Show—only this time they’ll be standing behind the mic.

Podcasting duo and former Summer House stars Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are stepping in as guest announcers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight and again on Wednesday, filling in for longtime Fallon sidekick Steve Higgins, who is out for the rest of the week.

According to sources close to the show, Higgins is on a planned break and is expected to return Monday, August 4.

Berner and DeSorbo are longtime friends who first rose to fame as cast members on Bravo’s Summer House, where they quickly became fan favorites. They later launched Giggly Squad, which became a breakout podcast success and has springboarded them into sold-out live shows, a bestselling book, and nationwide tours.

We’re told they were such a such a hit with the Tonight Show team when they appeared together as guests in April (and particpated in a game of charades with Jon Hamm and Patrick Schwarzenegger) that they were later asked to fill in for Higgins.

On Thursday, they’ll hand over announcing duties to Roots co-founder Tariq Trotter, aka Black Thought, who has filled in for Higgins more than a dozen times before in recent years.

Fallon’s other guests tonight are Sam Rockwell, Alison Brie, and Drew Dunn. Visit our lineups area for updated guest listings for all the late-night shows, and subscribe to our newsletter to get stories like this in your inbox.
