Gauff, the defending champion and second seed, has been in formidable form throughout the tournament, while Pegula, Anisimova and Navarro have each pulled off impressive victories to secure their spots.

Gauff kicked off her campaign with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Kamilla Rakhimova before edging past 25th seed Leylah Fernandez in a tight three-set battle, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. In the fourth round, she faced 15th seed Belinda Bencic and emerged victorious after a 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-2 win.

Pegula, seeded fifth, opened with a 6-0, 6-3 win against Ajla Tomljanović and then survived a nail-biting match against 30th seed Emma Raducanu, saving three match points to triumph 3-6, 7-6(9), 6-0. She followed that with a 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-1 win over 23rd seed Marta Kostyuk.

Navarro, the 16th seed, had a smoother start, advancing past Elena-Gabriela Ruse and benefiting from a walkover against Lois Boisson. The American then delivered the tournament’s biggest shock, defeating top seed Iga Świątek 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 to secure her quarterfinal berth.

Gauff will take on Germany’s Eva Lys in the quarterfinals, marking the first time the two will face each other on the WTA Tour. Pegula is set to clash with fellow American Navarro for the third time in their tour careers, with the former holding a strong advantage in their previous encounters. Anisimova will face Italy’s Jasmine Paolini for the second time, having won their only prior meeting at the 2021 Parma Open.
