This Turkey Day, Madden returns to Peacock in an alt-cast between two AFC North rivals. The NFL, NBC Sports, and EA Sports are teaming up for the second edition of the Madden NFL Cast, featuring the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens in an immersive video-game-infused broadcast exclusively on Peacock.
Kickoff is set for Thursday, November 27, at 8:00 PM ET, and the conventional game telecast will still be carried across NBC and Peacock. If you want the Madden overlay, route trees, live player ratings, and in-game “Madden” visuals, you’ll have to have a Peacock subscription on Thanksgiving night
For the Peacock-exclusive broadcast, NBC Sports is rolling out a star-studded booth. Talent returning from last year’s Madden Cast includes play-by-play commentator Paul Bermeister, Madden NFL expert and analyst Kurt Benkert, and Bengals legend and Madden rating adjuster Chad Johnson. They will be joined by reporter Kay Adams and three-time All-Pro Tyrann Mathieu.
“We are excited to once again work with the NFL, EA SPORTS, and Genius Sports to offer fans the ability to watch Madden NFL come to life, exclusively on Peacock. It’s appropriate that this year’s Madden NFL Cast presentation takes place on Thanksgiving, an NFL holiday tradition that meant so much to John and now carries his name,” said NBC Sports’ Executive Producer of NFL Fred Gaudelli, who was the lead producer for John Madden’s final seven seasons in the broadcast booth (2002-05 at ABC, 2006-08 at NBC). “We look forward to showcasing the Madden NFL Cast in primetime as well as introducing some new features that viewers and gamers will enjoy.”
For Year 2, the Madden Cast is expanding deeper into the gamer perspective. The main camera angle will predominantly be the hi-sky camera behind the quarterback, which Madden gameplay is most known for. The cast will also use live EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 graphics and expanded data overlays.
Fans who love strategy, metrics, and video-game presentation are in for another exciting alt-cast this Thanksgiving. The Madden Cast matchup between the Bengals and Ravens caps off a tripleheader of live NFL games in a unique way.
