How to Get Necrolei Cyst & Strong Acid in Subnautica 2
Strong Acid is a crucial crafting material in Subnautica 2 that can be crafted using Necrolei Cysts. Here’s how to get them.
Troilite Location In Subnautica 2
First, you need to find both the Alien Ruins base and the Angel Comb in the nearby area. After that, press Tab to open the inventory, then select Signals.
From the Alien Ruins, go east toward the Angel Comb’s location in Subnautica 2. If you haven’t reached the Angel Comb yet, you’ll unlock it after traveling around 400 meters east. Make sure to go down to around 300m depth so you can see it more easily.
From the Angel Comb, switch your destination to the northeast and go below 400 meters.
After traveling for around 300 meters, you’ll start seeing green pools from a distance. Keep going down with the Tadpole, approaching the Troilite area.
However, be careful of the giant squid roaming the place. You need to leave the Tadpole and keep it in a safe spot while collecting the Troilite in the area. Getting closer to the giant squid with the Tadpole will trigger it to attack you, so swim freely and stay on the sea floor to be safe.
After leaving the Tadpole, you need to dive even deeper, as close to the ground as possible. There, you can find green rocks around the pools. They’re called Mineralized Clinkers, and destroying them will get you Troilite.
Other than Troilite, you’ll find a lot of other rocks, like Celestine in Subnautica 2.
You need a Sonic Resonator to break the Mineralized Clinkers and get Troilite in Subnautica 2.
Once you destroy the Troilite rocks, the Troilite ores will be added to your inventory.
It’s important to note that the area is dangerous, with roaming territorial monsters that may attack you if you get too close to them. There’s also a giant squid residing above the pool that will attack your Tadpole if you get too close. The green pool area is also close to a red zone where a huge whale will one-shot your character and the Tadpole if you cross into it. Then, your Tadpole will be stuck there, with the whale eating your character every time you approach it. You either go crazy like me trying to save the Tadpole or give it up to the whale and build a new one.
