The three-time Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end is set to return in 2026. It’s possible he could return in 2027 and beyond, too. However, Kelce has made it clear that he has big goals for retirement.
Kelce, 36, has been eyeing acting roles and major endorsements, while looking to build upon his big wealth. He already co-hosts a podcast, “New Heights,” with his brother, Jason. And he’s been in several big-time commercials and advertising campaigns.
Kelce has someone to be chasing, too: Shaquille O’Neal.
O’Neal, one of the best players in NBA history, has probably become more well known for what he’s doing off the court than what he’s done on it. The 7-foot big man has done commercials and endorsements for just about every big brand in the country. He’s made hundreds of millions through commercials, business ventures and more.
The legendary NBA star also serves as an analyst on “Inside the NBA.”
Kelce is hoping to become the ‘Shaq’ of the NFL
An insider told The Daily Mail that he wants to become the “Shaq” of the NFL.
“Like Jason, he’ll likely do more analyst work down the road, but that’s only one piece of the puzzle,” the insider said.
“People around him see him becoming the NFL’s version of Shaq – someone whose name is attached to a wide range of successful businesses because he knows how to leverage his popularity. And if opportunities arise to collaborate with Taylor, he’s certainly open to that, too.
“One thing is clear: Travis has no interest in disappearing after football. He wants to maximize the platform he’s built, continue growing as a businessman and keep expanding his reach.
“Being with Taylor has only reinforced his drive to succeed on an even bigger stage.”
It’s a bold goal, but of course, Kelce has big plans and has constantly achieved them.
