Jackson football is reigning Federal League co-champions
The Polar Bears put together a memorable 2024. They snapped a 17-game losing streak to McKinley in winning a share of the Federal League title. They went 5-1 in league play. Jackson graduated 41 seniors from that team and returns 17 letterwinners, including four-year quarterback Lucas Ecrement.
Looking back at Chardon football’s 2024 season
The Hilltoppers put together a 7-2 regular season in 2024, but played only three teams with winning records — beating 6-5 Avon and losing to 16-0 Columbus Watterson and 7-4 Kenston. The two losses were by a combined score of 61-12. Watterson was the eventual Division III state champion. Chardon won its first-round game in the Division III playoffs, routing 7-4 Tallmadge 49-14. The Hilltoppers were then knocked off 19-16 by CVCA, which went 10-3.
