Chad Michael Murray Confesses the ’80s Metal Song He’d Choose for a Lap Dance

Chad Michael Murray returned to The Drew Barrymore Show on Wednesday, Nov. 5, facing off against host Drew Barrymore in yet another ping-pong challenge.

The duo’s rematch followed their game from last November, where they played a version of the segment called “Ping It On,” though this time around, they tweaked the rules a bit, adding referees Ross Mathews and Sunny Anderson to ask all the hard-hitting, steamy questions.

Murray was put on the spot in the first go-around, despite Barrymore missing the ball, which proved to be a true treat for One Tree Hill fans.

Anderson asked Murray, “If you had to give a lap dance, what song would you dance to?” She, however, took it one step forward, giving the people what they wanted by stating, “And please, if you could show us.”

“I know you won, but if you could answer the question,” she emphasized.

It didn’t take the Sullivan’s Crossing actor long to come up with an answer, as he noted, The song’s ringing in my head,” clarifying, “I totally wouldn’t do it, but did you ever hear ‘Dr. Feelgood?’”

The song Murray had in mind is Mötley Crüe’s 1989 single.

He followed through on the second part of the request, showing off a body roll and running his hand down his chest.

Anderson’s reaction was completely understandable, as she fell to her knees, smitten.

True fans have seen Murray’s dance moves in action before in Netflix’s holiday film, The Merry Gentleman, where his character took the stage to perform in an “all-male, Christmas-themed revue.”

Barrymore confessed she did do a sexy striptease for her boyfriend when she was younger to New Order’s “Blue Monday,” adding, “and it was not sexy.”

The segment continued on, with Barrymore also losing round two, as she revealed that tongs are the sexiest kitchen utensil, while Murray weighed in with his choice: “a nice little ladle.”

Once Barrymore finally earned a point, Murray was asked about his preferences in the bedroom, and whether he’s a lights-on or lights-off kind of guy, to which he divulged, “I gotta be honest, like, it don’t matter.”

When forced to choose, he proved he’s a hopeless romantic, leaving fans at home swooning as he explained, “I don’t discriminate lights on, lights off, but I would prefer the lights on because then you get to see their beautiful eyes. It’s true! It’s just more of a connection.”

Elsewhere, Barrymore was asked to recreate his 2025 calendar cover passionately. When his shirtless photo was displayed on the big screen, he fell to his knees laughing.

The last round was the one to declare the winner, and even though Murray was in the lead, Barrymore was able to prove herself in the end, with the two sharing a “joint title,” according to Anderson.

As for us, the viewers at home, we’re looking forward to the next rematch whenever Murray returns to the talk show.

The actor is fresh off a One Tree Hill reunion in Wilmington, North Carolina, and he’s bringing joy throughout the holidays with his Christmas rom-com, Joy to the World, opposite Superman & Lois star Emmanuelle Chriqui, now streaming on Hulu.

The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays on CBS. In addition to Joy to the World, fans can also binge One Tree Hill, the complete series, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
