Sydney Sweeney is the hottest star in Hollywood — but a source says her friends are pleading with her to ditch the pinup personality.
“No one is saying she shouldn’t dress sexy if that’s what she wants, they just think Sydney is selling herself short by placing so much attention on her body,” explains the source. “She keeps boxing herself into this busty bombshell stereotype when, actually, she’s a very talented actress.”
While promoting The Housemaid, which hit theaters on Friday, December 19, Sweeney not only spilled out of dresses on red carpets, but she also posted images of herself topless and in plunging swimwear on Instagram.

Additionally, the 28-year-old gamely participated in Vanity Fair’s famed Lie Detector Test, where she was asked whether her boobs were real.
“Yes!” the Euphoria star giddily laughed during the magazine segment.
Moments like that make pals “roll their eyes,” says the source.
“Her friends don’t understand why she wants to keep reinforcing this image that she’s all about shock value and cleavage,” spills the source. “Sydney acts as if she’s some no-name who can only get noticed for her body. It’s frustrating because she’s already famous; she’s already booked and busy.”

The White Lotus alum told Glamour UK that she used to feel “uncomfortable” about how large her chest was and considered getting a breast reduction at 18.
Instead, she’s embraced her figure — even if, as Sweeney admitted to Today, it draws an amount of scrutiny that’s “not natural.”
“Sydney complains about people always objectifying her, which her friends find annoying,” adds the source. “She seems totally oblivious to the way she feeds into it.”
