Indiana has added to its front court for this 2025-26 season with the addition of skilled 6-foot-11 international center Andrej Acimovic.
Acimovic is a 6-foot-11, 225-pound center from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He turned 18 in March and has four years of college eligibility remaining.
Acimovic is the 13th scholarship player for the 2025-26 Indiana basketball team. IU coach Darian DeVries tells Peegs.com that IU is going with 13 scholarship players for the coming season, so this completes the Hoosiers’ roster for the 2025-26 basketball season.
Acimovic picked Indiana over interest from a number of high-major college basketball programs.
He’s skilled on the interior and also has the ability to shoot from the perimeter and pass.
Acimovic has considerable experience at multiple basketball levels for players his age in Europe.
He averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the U19 ABA league, which is the top regional league.
In the senior-level division in Bosnia, he averaged 17.3 points and shot 39 percent from 3-point range and 65.3 percent from 2-point range. He also averaged 7.7 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.2 assists per game.
Acimovic also was a member of both the U16 and U18 Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team.
Acimovic had a number of very good games in the ABA U19 league.
One game, he had 26 points in 24 minutes, shooting 10-for-10 from 2-point range, to go with nine rebounds (five offensive) and three blocked shots.
In another game, Acimovic scored 24 points in 26 minutes, shooting 8-for-12 from 2-point range, 8-for-10 from the free throw line, 12 rebounds (seven offensive) and two blocked shots.
Acimovic is the second international player on the Indiana basketball 2025-26 roster. He joins 6-foot-4 guard Aleksa Ristic from Serbia.
