Kawasaki is set to unveil its all-new KLE adventure motorcycle at the 2025 EICMA trade show next month, marking the return of a nameplate last seen in the early 2000s. The new model is aimed at adventure and dual-sport riders, offering a combination of off-road capability and modern features that Kawasaki hopes will stand out in the growing middle-weight adventure segment.

The teaser campaign, which began in November 2024, hinted at the bike’s dual-sport design and performance-oriented features. While Kawasaki has kept specific details under wraps, reports suggest the KLE will be powered by a 451cc parallel-twin engine, similar to the unit used in the Ninja 500. This engine is expected to deliver around 45bhp at 9,000rpm and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.

The new KLE is also rumoured to feature a 21-inch front wheel with spoked construction, an upgrade from its predecessor, the KLE500. Additional features likely include an inverted front fork and a single-piston Nissin brake calliper. The styling pays homage to the original KLE500, introduced in 1991, with the tagline “Life’s a Rally. Ride it,” reflecting its adventurous spirit.

Kawasaki appears to be positioning the KLE as a more off-road-oriented alternative to the Versys, which primarily targets road riders. Expect it to compete with other 400–500cc dual-sport motorcycles, a segment that has been growing steadily in recent years. Following the European debut, the KLE is expected to reach the Indian market in 2026, forming a key part of Kawasaki’s strategy to strengthen its adventure motorcycle lineup.
