“She’s going to crush that role. I’m so proud of her,” Alaina said of Wilson.
“I’m so excited,” she told Country Now. “Someone just asked me what I’m most excited for the awards and I’m excited to see her do her thing. She’s going to crush that role. I’m so proud of her. So excited for her.”
The Georgia native will also be stepping in a hosting role herself. She, alongside HaleyyBaylee, will be teaming up to co-host “CMA Awards Backstage Live” on the Country Music Association’s official TikTok (@countrymusicassociation). This second-screen experience will give fans an inside look from Bridgestone Arena throughout the night.
“I’m hosting backstage, giving all the fans a little behind the scenes action,” she told Country Now, also noting she’s “looking forward to it.”
“There is an open bar, so I’m sure I’ll be serving some drinks to my friends,” Alaina added with a smile.
CMA will go live several times throughout the night, starting with the red carpet and continuing through the final award. Viewers will get real-time artist interviews, winner reactions, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Country Music’s Biggest Night.
While Lauren Alaina takes on her hosting duties, it’ll also be a special night for her husband, Cam, who will be attending the CMA Awards for the very first time.
“My husband’s going to be there for the first time. He’s never been to the CMA. He’s going to walk the carpet. I can’t wait to see. He’s known for closing his eyes and photos, so we’ll see if his eyes are open on the carpet,” Alaina joked.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Beni Doll, just a few months ago in June. As they try to keep up with the new chapter of parenthood, Alaina reveals her little one is changing and making new strides every day.

“She’s good. She’s so big. She’s getting so big every day. I look at her and I’m like, she looks so much older. She’s rolling over and learning to sit up and she’s the smiley-est baby ever,” she gushed. “Every time I look at her, she’s doing something new. She’s got new toys and she’s really obsessed with things that make noise. She’s very curious. She’s very nosy.”
In between watching all the behind-the-scenes content from Lauren Alaina on TikTok live, fans can also keep up with Lainey Wilson’s hosting duties by tuning into the 59th CMA Awards broadcasting live from Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 19 (8:00–11:00 PM/ET) on ABC, with next-day viewing available on Hulu.
