Summer is in full swing, but LEGO isn’t slowing down. Another announcement has leaked from the Danish brand. Soon we will be able to add Arkham Asylum to our collection, a mental hospital known from the Batman comics, as well as the Batman: Arkham Asylum game.
The aforementioned build, numbered 76300, will be added to the LEGO offer on September 9th. The set consists of almost three thousand blocks. The total price will be 299.99 dollars.
Although the project looks quite good and like a perfect fit for the collection of any DC fan, it still raises doubts in several aspects. The main concern is the interior of the building (not visible in the photos), as well as the quality of the figures, which are the worst aspect of the set according to fans – at least at first glance.
The build looks pretty decent both size and looks/vibes, these base plate modulars really benefit with having height (look at the Ninjago cities) so I think it could’ve had another floor.
But the minifigs suck, im sorry but WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO MY BOY CROC
Another reason for fan dissaproval is the build seeming not dark enough, especially since it’s supposed to be aimed for adult builders (18 years and up):
Ngl I was expecting it to look more mature and dark. Kinda like that new Transylvania set from the bricklink designer series.
Fortunately for those with doubts about this project’s looks, there are plenty of alternatives. Some interesting choices could be Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City, or Batcave – Shadow Box. If you need some nostalgia though, Soundwave from the iconic Transformers franchise is also about to join the LEGO offer – there’s something for everyone.
