Lena Dunham is sharing an idea she had for a project that never came to light.
According to the 39-year-old Too Much creator, she wanted to make a “really serious” production of Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval‘s breakup. The split, which played out at a dramatic Vanderpump Rules reunion, was dubbed “Scandoval” by fans.
Lena was a guest on Evan Ross Katz‘s Shut Up Evan podcast where she talked about her ideas for the movie.

“We should basically create like a mini movie in which actors treat this as canon and get up and perform it with all the passion and virtuosity of Shakespeare,” Lena explained her idea on the podcast. “I went so far as to abuse Andy Cohen‘s contact information to pitch him the idea.”
Lena went on to say that she imagined casting Jennifer Lawrence as Ariana and Andrew Scott as Tom.
“I want to take these words and direct them like it’s really serious theater,” she said on the episode.
