Napheesa Collier scores 32 in return as Lynx beat Fever

Napheesa Collier returned from a right ankle sprain and back to MVP form.

The Minnesota Lynx forward, who missed the past seven games, had 32 points and nine rebounds in a 97-84 victory over the Indiana Fever on Sunday, Aug. 24. She helped Minnesota to a league-leading 30-7 record.

Indiana, 4-6 in its last 10 games, fell to 19-18 and is clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot. Kelsey Mitchell had 26 points to lead the Fever.

Caitlin Clark missed her 15th consecutive game with a right groin injury that’s kept her out since July 15. The Fever have lost three guards, Sophie Cunningham (MCL), Sydney Colson (ACL) and Aari McDonald (foot), for the season. 

Chloe Bibby also has a left knee injury and was held out against the Lynx.
