The Huskers held UCLA to .000 hitting in the first set and ran out to a 10-6 lead before closing the set on a 6-3 win with Murray getting three kills late to finish things.

In set two, UCLA took an early 10-5 lead before Nebraska clawed back to take a 13-12 lead. With the score tied 19-19, Reilly served a 4-0 Husker run that included an ace and kills by Allick and Landfair. The Huskers led 23-19, but UCLA scored two to cut the lead to 23-21. Allick answered with a sideout kill for set point, but UCLA fought off two set points before Murray finished it off, 25-23, with a kill.

UCLA took set three despite Nebraska taking an early lead. UCLA used a four-point run to take a 15-12 lead. A late 5-0 run helped UCLA finish off the set win, snapping Nebraska’s consecutive set won streak at 47.

In the fourth set, UCLA pulled to within 14-11, but Jackson’s 14th and 15th kills ended a stretch that saw the Huskers extend their lead to 23-13. The win improved the No. 1 Huskers to 25-0 on the season.
