Currently, the Golden Knights find themselves on a four-game winning streak. Closing out their last homestand with victories over the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks, Vegas has two wins to start their five-game road trip over the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers. Securing two more points would only add to what has been an exceptional road trip for the Golden Knights so far.

The Golden Knights will take their last overtime victory against the New York Rangers, but they will not be interested in seeing the same script play out.
Despite Vegas jumping out to an early lead and maintaining control for most of the first period, the Rangers took full control of the second and held the lead for a good chunk of the game. It took the heroics of Carter Hart in net and a last-minute 5-on-4 goal from Tomas Hertl to give the Golden Knights the opportunity to finish the job in overtime. With plenty of positives to build off, the Golden Knights will hope to keep the entire game against the Islanders in their control.
Keeping hot
In order to do that, the Golden Knights will need some of their best players to continue producing as they have in recent games.

Hertl’s game-tying goal was his fourth in as many games, as he has jumped out to the team lead with 13 goals on the season. Mark Stone is also working on a 12-game point streak, while Shea Theodore has picked it up with four points in his last three games. The Golden Knights are at their best when their top players are putting up points in bunches, and that is exactly what is happening right now.
Giant killers
As exciting as things are right now for the Golden Knights, they must remain focused on the task at hand.
The Islanders have toppled teams ahead of them in the standings at the peak of their powers. Earlier this season, they snapped a seven-game win streak for the Tampa Bay Lightning, as well as a 16-game point streak from the President’s Trophy favorite Colorado Avalanche. The Islanders will not be intimidated by the Golden Knights, so this is expected to turn into a dogfight quickly.
