Police responded at a Tremonton residence Sunday evening near David Dr. & 300 E.
A massive police response was underway in Tremonton in Utah’s Box Elder County on Sunday evening after shots were fired. Two officers were injured and one deputy was shot, Tremonton Mayor Lyle Homgren confirmed.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers and pray for the quick recovery of the wounded deputy,” Mayor Homgren said. “We mourn with their loved ones, their fellow officers and the entire community that feels this loss so profoundly.”
Local news outlet Box Elder News journal reported that the police response was underway near the David Drive and 300 East. As of now, the police in Trenton have not provided an update on the shooting suspect as the situation remained active.
Police scanner audio of the incident captured the moment when the officers were shot in.

“Shots fired! I’ve been hit!” the officer can be heard saying in the scanner video from Utah. He then says, “Still shooting,” before being hit by a bullet.
“Two officers down in the intersection, not moving,” the officer said. “I’m hit, I don’t know. In the head, or my shoulder.” It was followed by sounds of heavy gunfire.
No details on the suspect have been released, as of now.
