Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action continue on Sunday with the Houston Texans paying a visit to the Baltimore Ravens at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Texans prevented their season from careening into a ditch last Sunday, dominating the lowly Titans in a 26-0 shutout out home. Rookie running back Woody Marks had a breakout performance out of the backfield in the victory, one that earned him NFL Rookie of the Week honors.
Below, we’ll go over Marks’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 5.
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans RB Woody Marks
Marks got plenty of work in last Sunday’s AFC South showdown and delivered big, registering 17 carries for 69 yards on the ground, four receptions for 50 yards through the air, and two touchdowns. That was good enough for him to be a top-10 fantasy running back for the week, posting 23.9 points in standard leagues and 27.9 in PPR.
What was notable about this sudden outburst from the fourth-round pick was the amount of work he got even with Nick Chubb healthy and in the lineup. Marks got more snaps than the veteran and some have even speculated about him eventually taking the mantle of RB1 in Houston. Regardless of who starts, the two splitting carries against the Titans proved to be effective and this formula could be the thing that ignites a Texans offense that had been stagnant through the first month of the regular season.
Start or sit in Week 5 Standard leagues?
Start. The vibes around the Ravens are atrocious right now and it’s open season on their injury-ravaged defense in particular. Pro Football Focus has them graded as the worst run-defense in the league heading into Week 5 and they are giving up a league-high 27.1 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Both Marks and Chubb could go off on Sunday, so starting either this week would be a good idea.
