Beyond the Gates was closely followed by ABC’s General Hospital, who also added significant viewership for the week.

BEYOND THE GATES
First, Beyond the Gates averaged 1,796,000 million viewers for the week, with an increase of +162,000 from the previous week which is up year to year at this time +248,000.
The highly-publicized Y&R and BTG crossover event kicked off on the Tuesday, June 9 episode of Beyond the Gates where six residents of Genoa City came to to visit the D.C./Maryland country club for a fundraiser for Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon). However, no one expected a twister to tear into the proceedings, leading to several storylines intersecting as people were trapped with one another with Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) being the most severely injured and requiring a life-saving liver transplant.
With the strength of the story, its special effects, and bringing over cast of the top-rated, The Young and the Restless which included: Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), the youngest soap opera on the block was able to intrigue viewers.
In addition, fans wanted to know would happen next especially after Beyond the Gates, Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) had sex in a an elevator while trapped in the tornado, while Bill’s wife, Hayley (Marquita Goings) was making out with Kyle Abbott in a closet!
GENERAL HOSPITAL
Over at General Hospital, the ABC soap averaged just under 2 million viewers (1,991,000) for the week, but brought in +111,00 since the previous week, and was up year-to-year +47,000.
In story, the PCPD sting operation against Sidwell (Carlo Rota) resulted in a shocking turn events after Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) risked his life to bring him down. Sidwell shot Lucas three times, but Lucas survived thanks to a bulletproof vest. When Sidwell was taken into custody by “Nathan,” (Ryan Paevey), he eventually escaped thanks to “Nathan” (aka Cassius), who at the time was working with him.
Elsewhere, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia’s (Brook Kerr) peace pact imploded at Portia’s baby shower, and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) found herself cornered by Jack (Chis McKenna) who used Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) secrets as leverage against her, and more.
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
Over at The Young and the Restless, the top-rated soap still had the most total viewers tuning-in with an average of 3,105,000. That is up week-to-week by+50,000 and way up year-to-year by +250.000.
During the ratings week, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) returned after his successful surgery to reunite with his family and his newfound son, Holden (Nathan Owens). Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) health took a turn for the worse as her headaches became intolerable, the new Genoa City Shadow Room opened, and the Newmans grappled what to do and feel about this amnesiac version of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Finally at The Bold and the Beautiful, the CBS soap averaged 2,738,000 viewers for the ratings period, while adding +37,000 week to week and +199,000 year over year.
In story, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Katie (Heather Tom) reached a tension-filled truce that Katie would not poach anyone else from Forrester Creations for her new fashion house Logan, while secretly having Hope (Annika Noelle) and Deke (Harrison Cone) already line-up as her designers. Will (Crew Morrow) struggled with keeping this secret from his girlfriend, Electra (Laneya Grace).
