The chef is a close friend of the Sussexes and even appeared in Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Harry looked dapper in a navy ensemble consisting of a blazer, a shirt and jeans.
He beamed as he posed with his friend and other guests at the event, held at Mr Andrés’ restaurant, San Laurel, located on the 10th floor of Conrad Los Angeles.
According to Hello! Magazine, other guests included conductor Gustavo Dudamel, journalist Maria Shriver, actress Kyra Sedgwick, actor Tyler James Williams and chefs Wolfgang Puck and Roy Choi.
Alan Semsar, one of the guests at the event, shared a picture with the chef and the Duke on his social media on Saturday and wrote: “Celebrating with my buddy Jose Andres and Prince Harry for the launch of his new book Spain My Way. Viva España.”
It comes just hours before Princess Lilibet celebrates her fifth birthday on Thursday.
The youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undoubtedly be marking her special day with her nearest and dearest in Montecito, California.
Last year, Meghan shared a flurry of posts to celebrate her daughter’s fourth birthday, including a controversial video of her twerking to induce labour.
She wrote in her initial post, which was a black and white picture of her embracing her daughter: “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it.
“Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”
