Subnautica 2 is home to tons of resources, and they’re all crucial to the game’s progression. However, at some point, you’re going to hit a wall, as certain higher-tier recipes need one material in particular: Conduit Crystals.
As things stand, Conduit Crystals are probably one of the rarest resources in Subnautica 2—at least for the current state of early access. With such a vast, open ocean to explore, it can be tough to track them down, but this guide should make it easier than ever to find them.
Here’s where to find Conduit Crystals in Subnautica 2, as well as what the resource is used for.
Where To Find Conduit Crystals In Subnautica 2
Unlike other resources in Subnautica 2, there isn’t a specific location where you can find Conduit Crystals; instead, you’ll need to search a large region.
Generally speaking, Conduit Crystals spawn in the second main area of the game, specifically past the alien ruins. These tall, spindly nodes are best found in and around the Angel Comb of the region, though you’ll have to dive fairly deep to find them.
Annoyingly, they rarely spawn in groups, and often only yield a single item when destroyed with the Sonic Resonator. Since it’s a vital resource for the Bioscanner, your best bet is to search far and wide until you have a decent chunk to take home with you, otherwise you could be back and forth for a good while.
What Are Conduit Crystals Used For In Subnautica 2?
Conduit Crystals are required fairly often in the latter stages of Subnautica 2, though it’s likely you’ll need them first for your Bioscanner.
A Bioscanner is the key to unlocking new Biomods, so you’ll likely be on the hunt for them once you find the crafting recipe. That being said, it’s a common requirement for some late-game electrical recipes, including Advanced Batteries and Entangled Power Cells.
With the game still in early access, there’s a chance that Conduit Crystals are needed for even more crafting recipes in the future, and who knows, they might even be easier to find! For now, though, keep your eyes peeled for them in the darker depths of the alien ruins region, and you should be lucky enough to come home with your pockets full.
