HONOLULU (Island News) — To find the best and brightest fireworks displays in Hawaii this Fourth of July, here’s a guide to where there will be fireworks and celebrations on each island.
Oahu
Waikiki
- The 2026 Waikiki Fourth of July Fireworks Show in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary will launch offshore at 8:30 p.m. The fireworks can be seen in areas including Waikiki Beach from Kapiolani Park to Magic Island.
The following road closures will be in effect until 9 p.m. or when police deems it safe to reopen.
- 5 p.m. – Partial closure of Kalakaua Avenue from Kaiulani Avenue to the Kalakaua/Monsarrat split. The makai lane will only be open for emergency vehicles, while the remaining lanes will stay open to traffic.
- 7 p.m. – Full closure of Kalakaua Avenue from Kaiulani Avenue extending eastbound past Sans Souci Beach to the Dillingham Fountain.
Kailua
- The 77th Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade along Kainalu Drive starts at 10 a.m. Kailua’s annual fireworks show begins around 8 p.m.
Haleiwa
- Haleiwa Beach Park will feature a full day of live music, food and family activities with fireworks starting around 8:20 p.m.
Maui
Wailea
- Free live entertainment begins at The Shops at Wailea in the evening before fireworks launch over Wailea Beach at 9 p.m., creating one of the island’s most popular holiday displays.
Big Island
Kona
- The annual Fourth of July parade marches down Alii Drive before fireworks light up Kailua Bay at 8 p.m.
Hilo
- The Bay Blast celebration features live entertainment, food, family activities and a fireworks show over Hilo Bay at 8 p.m.
Kauai
Lihue
- The annual Kauai Hospice Concert in the Sky returns to Vidinha Stadium featuring live music, food vendors and family activities. The celebration wraps up with one of the island’s biggest fireworks shows around 8 p.m.
